Due to numerous requests from the Wanderers Compass community, we have put together this Travel Medical Supply Shopping List to help make finding useful travel health items easier and more convenient. The list includes many of the medical devices, travel health products, and select over-the-counter items that we personally use during our travels.
For common medications such as ibuprofen, Tylenol, or Aspirin, we are not specifically listing those below since most travelers already have easy access to them. However, these items are widely available through Amazon and most local pharmacies.
It is important to note that the products included here are simply the items and brands that have worked well for us personally. There are many excellent alternatives available. Whether it is a pulse oximeter, blood pressure cuff, first aid item, or travel health device, we encourage you to research options, read reviews, and speak with your physician if you have questions about which products may best fit your individual health needs.

I always have one in my carry-on. They have served me well when emergencies occur on flights. During the pandemic, most people learned how essential they are, both while traveling and at home. It could be the determining factor in when to seek medical care when on the road.
This is a well-reviewed pulse oximeter. It accurately measures your SpO2 (blood oxygen saturation), pulse rate, and pulse strength in 10 seconds and displays the results on a large digital LED display. It is appropriate for ages 12 and above.
